Point Service conventions powered by I.DI.A.

When you have the biggest aftermarket workshop network on the Italian market, it is not sufficient to have just one national convention. With 2,700 Point Service garages and 400 Point Service jobbers invited, three separate conventions have to be organised to reach the entire target group.

The three events were held in Milan on 13 October, in Montecatini (close to Florence) on 20 October and in Sorrento (close to Naples) on 27 October 2007.

During the convention(s), the I.DI.A. management gave several presentations on Point Service network news. Special attention was assigned to the new agreement with fleet services that will entail new business opportunities for the entire Point Service network. Another point in the centre of interest was the new services around training and further education. A tailor-made training package will strengthen the installers’ set of skills even further and make them fit to face future challenges.

What people always appreciate during the conventions is the part where members of the Point Service network exchange their personal ideas and information. Some workshop owners and jobbers held presentations on their experience within the Point Service network and thus, precious information could be spread and exchanged to the benefit of all participants.

In Milan, the special guest was Fotios Katsardis, Managing Director of Temot International, who spoke about the importance of networking in the current aftermarket environment.

The success of the three events was claimed by all attendants and we thank all 10 I.DI.A. shareholders and their local Point Service teams for the big efforts they put into the organisation of such events.
