KARLAND is on the move

Kick-off meeting with local distributors

On 12 and 13 December 2007, KARLAND held a kick-off meeting with local distributors covering all Turkey (except Istanbul). On the first day, general manager Pierre Taner Kokino presented the new business model and future targets with distributors. In addition, the new category management model was outlined.

The second day was dedicated to KARLAND’s 15 bearing and belts distributors. Certainly, the exchange of views and ideas after the presentations was a key element on both days.

Pierre Taner Kokino said “Distributor’s views, comments and suggestions for KARLAND’s future are a key tool for us. I’m happy to see that our distributors clearly understand KARLAND’s new vision in order to be the sector’s market maker and already started to act accordingly. This is our most valuable power”.



New Technical Services Department

KARLAND established a technical services department which includes all after-sales services. In December 2007, the team consisting of seven young and highly motivated staff visited 1,136 garages to introduce themselves.

The tasks and responsibilities of the new Technical Services Department comprise customer training for new products, on-site training in the garages, internal trainings, product testing, technical support, quality control services and more.



Bonus campaign for garages and repairers

KARLAND has started a new campaign towards garages and repairers, i. e. the “bonus campaign”. KARLAND uses bonus stickers on all spare parts’ boxes distributed to garages and repairers. The garages can collect these bonus stickers and at the end of the campaign, those stickers can be swapped for prizes ranging from refrigerators to mobile phones, plasma TVs, air conditioners and many more.
